293. William B.7 Ramsdell (Homer6, Joseph5, Joseph4, Thomas3, Daniel2, Joseph1) was born in Warren, Worcester, MA 2 June 1825. William died 15 November 1905 in Warren, Worcester, MA, at 80 years of age.

He married Mary Makepeace 12 October 1859. William studied at Munson Academy and qualified as a civil engineer, and for thirty years in addition to his other occupations practiced the profession in his vicinity. He was brought up on a farm and was chiefly occupied with farming until 1864 when he began to manufacture boots and shoes. He built up an extensive and flourishing business. In 1884, after twenty years, he retired with a comfortable competence and was thereafter occupied chiefly with the care of his property. He owned considerable property in Warren, largely business property including the Ramsdell block, which he named in honor of his son Homer. William B. Ramsdell and Mary Makepeace had the following children:

child 558 i. Homer A.8 Ramsdell was born in Warren, Worcester, MA 4 September 1860. Homer died 1 Jan 1883 at 22 years of age.

child + 559 ii. Jennie M. Ramsdell was born 4 June 1863.

child + 560 iii. Emma A. Ramsdell was born 27 May 1869.

child 561 iv. William B. Ramsdell was born in Warren, Worcester, MA 7 August 1872. William died Nov 1879 at 7 years of age.
