12. Joseph⁴ Ramsdell (Thomas³, Daniel², Joseph¹) was born in Pembroke, Plymouth, MA 29 May 1708. Joseph died 24 August 1788 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at 80 years of age.

He married twice. He married Mary Homer 23 April 1730 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA. Mary was born 1708. Mary died 1 June 1754 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at 45 years of age. Mary was admitted to the Hanover Church 6 July 1740. She was from Boston.

He married Mercy Delano 25 November 1755 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA. Mercy was born 1714. Mercy was the daughter of Nathaniel Delano and Mercy Bonney. Mercy died 1 January 1800 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at 85 years of age. Joseph was baptized 15 May 1715 at Scituate, MA. Joseph was admitted to the Hanover Church 4 May 1729. He settled and lived on a farm in Hanover.

Joseph Ramsdell and Mary Homer had the following children:

43 i. Mary⁵ Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 6 January 1732. Mary died 11 Jun 1826 at 94 years of age. She married William Whiting 8 June 1748 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA. William was born about 1730.

44 ii. Avis Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 14 July 1732. Avis died 28 Dec 1740 at 8 years of age.

45 iii. Priscilla Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 5 September 1734. She married Isaac Prouty 25 December 1755. Isaac was born 17 December 1732. Isaac was the son of Isaac Prouty and Elizabeth Merritt.

+ 46 iv. Nehemiah Ramsdell was born 13 November 1734.

47 v. Thomas Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA October 1736. Thomas died 13 March 1757 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at 20 years of age. He married Hannah Gill 5 February 1756. Hannah was born about 1736. Thomas was baptized 7 November 1736 in Hanover.

48 vi. Joseph Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 25 April 1739. Joseph died 6 April 1740 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at less than one year of age.

+ 49 vii. Avis Ramsdell was born 18 March 1741.

+ 50 viii. Joseph Ramsdell was born 3 July 1743.

51 ix. Japhet Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 22 August 1745. Japhet died 18 June 1750 in Hanover, Plymouth, MA, at 4 years of age.

52 x. Sarah Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 15 April 1749. She married Oliver Pool 13 January 1774. Oliver was born about 1749. Sarah was baptized 23 April 1749 at East Bridgewater. (E. Bridgewater VR)

Joseph Ramsdell and Mercy Delano had the following children:

+ 53 xi. Mercy Ramsdell was born 28 April 1757.

54 xii. Lydia Ramsdell was born in Hanover, Plymouth, MA 23 August 1759. She married Samuel Whitcomb 6 November 1791. Samuel was born about 1759.
