2. Daniel2 Ramsdell (Joseph1)(3) was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 14 September 1649. Daniel died Bef 12 March 1722 at approximately 72 years of age.

He married Hannah Caswell 1679. Hannah was born 14 July 1661 in Taunton, Bristol, MA. Hannah was the daughter of Thomas Caswell. Hannah died Aft 10 July 1722 at approximately 60 years of age. Daniel served in King Phillip's War and was given a grant of land in "Narraganett Number Four" (present day Greenwich, Massachusetts) which his son Thomas claimed in 1734. Daniel was involved in a lawsuit according to the Plymouth County records: "Abraham Jackson, of Plymouth, complaineth against Daniel Ramsdell, of Plymouth aforesaid, cooper, in an action of the case, to the damage of 6 pounds, for non-payment of the sume of three pounds and ten shillings, which he is indebted to the said Abraham Jackson, for money lent and other goods, which he neglecteth to satisfy. The jury find for the plaintiffe his debt due on booke, upon ballence of the account, two pounds ninteen shillings and the cost of the suit."

Daniel Ramsdell and Hannah Caswell had the following children:

child + 5 i. Thomas3 Ramsdell was born 1680.

child + 6 ii. Samuel Ramsdell was born 5 June 1690.

child + 7 iii. Joseph Ramsdell was born 15 August 1693.

child 8 iv. Benjamin Ramsdell was born 1 June 1699.

child 9 v. Hannah Ramsdell was born 28 September 1700.
