He married Cynthia Ann Hamilton 26 July 1863 in Dry Creek, Frsn, CA. Cynthia was born 24 March 1845 in Missouri. Cynthia died 6 Aug 1915 in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, CA, at 70 years of age. Her body was interred 8 Aug 1915 in Wheatland, Yuba, CA.

Elmer Fitts and Cynthia Ann Hamilton had the following children:

790 v. Cora Ellen Fitts was born 1870.

791 vi. John Calvin Fitts was born 1872.

792 vii. Amasa E. Fitts was born in Wardsboro, Windham, VT 14 September 1872. Amasa died 17 June 1953 at 80 years of age. He married Jessie May Cantlin 8 January 1896.

793 viii. Jennie A. Fitts was born in Wardsboro, Windham, VT 12 July 1874.

794 ix. Cora E. Fitts was born in S. Wardsboro, Windham, VT 23 October 1881. Cora died 27 May 1962 at 80 years of age. She married twice. She married John P Rich 2 July 1900. She married Charles G. McRae 26 June 1935.

795 x. John Calvin Fitts was born in S. Wardsboro, Windham, VT 30 May 1884. He married Vesta Dole in 21 Aug 1915.
