441. Augustus⁷ Ramsdell (William⁶, Gersham⁵, Samuel⁴, Samuel³, Daniel², Joseph¹) was born in Leeds, Androscoggin, ME 25 June 1826.

He married Mary A. Alden 10 March 1856 in Turner, Androscoggin, Maine. Mary died 1891. Augustus went to Massachusetts in 1848 and for a year, was a teacher in the schools of that state; at the end of which time, he engaged in business with his brother, Z.D. After he married, he returned to Leeds and settled on the home farm. [From "The History of Leeds, Maine" by J.C. Stinchfield, ET ALS.; 1901, page 218:]

Augustus Ramsdell and Mary A. Alden had the following children:

670 i. Infant⁸ Ramsdell.

671 ii. Benjamin Roswell Ramsdell was born 28 Sep 1867. He married Susie G. Wood.
