He married Damaris Sayre 10 March 1646/1647 in New Haven, Connecticut. Damaris was born 1625 in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England. Damaris was the daughter of Thomas Sayre and Margaret Aldrich. Damaris died 1 April 1691 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at 65 years of age.

2430 iv. Joshua Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 11 January 1652. Joshua died before 1692. He married Lydia Rockwell 24 June 1680 in Wallingford, NH, CT.

2431 v. John Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 1 November 1654. John died 1748 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT, at 93 years of age. He married twice. He married Abigail Mansfield 13 September 1682 in NH, CT. He married Mary Royce 27 November 1718 in Wallingford (V), New Haven, Connecticut. Mary was born about 1655 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT. Mary was the daughter of Johnathan Royce and Mary Spinning. Mary died after 27 November 1678 in CT, at approximately 23 years of age.

2432 vii. Abigail Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 3 March 1659. She married Nathaniel Jones 7 October 1684 in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut.

2433 viii. Mary Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 31 March 1662. Mary died 17 October 1746 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at 84 years of age. She married Ichabod Stow 22 October 1688 in NH, NH, CT. She married David Robinson 1697 in of, Hartford, Hartford, Conn.

2434 ix. Samuel Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 17 September 1664. Samuel died 17 September 1742 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at 78 years of age. He married Sarah Alling 7 July 1691 in NH, NH, CT.

2435 x. Ebenezer Atwater was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 13 January 1666. Ebenezer died before November 1702 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. He married Abigail Heaton 9 December 1691 in NH, NH, CT.
