He married twice. He married Mary in Savannah, Georgia. Mary was born about 1654 in England. He married Deborah Crane 6 March 1716 in Haddam, Connecticut.

Richard Towner and Mary had the following children:

1981 i. Thankful¹¹ Towner was born in Branford, CT. Thankful died 1758.

1982 ii. Richard Towner was born in England about 1680. Richard died 28 February 1753 in Branford, CT, at 72 years of age. He married Elizabeth Tyler 28 September 1720 in Branford, Connecticut.

1983 iii. John Towner was born in England about 1684. John died about 1742 in Derby, CT.

+ 1264 iv. Sarah Towner was born about 1684/1689.

1984 v. Joseph Towner was born in Guilford, New Haven, CT about 1686. Joseph died about 1725 in Derby, CT.

1985 vi. Benjamin Towner was born in Guilford, New Haven, CT 1688. Benjamin died 9 January 1761 in Killingworth, Middlesex, MA, at 72 years of age.

1986 vii. Samuel Towner was born in Branford, CT 1691. Samuel died 1784/1785 in Goshen, Litchfield, CT, at 94 years of age. He married twice. He married Rebecca Barnes 25 January 1716 in Branford, Connecticut. He married Amy Ward 27 June 1728 in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut.

1987 viii. Hannah Towner was born in Branford, CT about 1693. Hannah died 1759 at 66 years of age. She married Hitt 1713 in Branford, Connecticut.
